Aiden laughed with them, smiling fondly. How long had it been since they were all like this…. Wait, wait- a week. At the last barbecue. Duuuh, Aiden.
He smirked, “I think Taylor is correct in that assessment. My thought is….” He placed a hand on his chin, his arm propping up the other one, and …. Well, thought, while looking cool.
“I think either Roxanne or Pierce will realize what they’re missing and freak out, murdering the girl,” he chuckled, despite the freaky serious tone he had on while saying it. “But, no, really. Something not going to end good.” He frowned. “Not much does down here… Where’s she from? North, right?”

Taylor laughed, “Amen to that one.” She said, as she rose up the almost empty cup.
Roxanne tipped hers sideways, noticing that it was empty and decided to leave the two with a quick, “Be right back.” Seriously- what did they know. Pierce and her were friends, plus the factor that he was the best friend of her own cousin. Ugh.
She poured a glass of Jager, mixed in some rockstar and went back to the two- who had not moved.
“What- you didn’t get me anything, Miss Bartender?” Taylor asked, looking almost insulted, “Anyway- I think Aiden is right. You two need to fess up that you dig each other and move on with it. I don’t agree with killing the poor girl- she doesn’t know any better. I mean seriously, every damn chick falls for the stupid charm that Pierce pulls; but only you can tame him.” She said pointing her cup at Roxanne before taking the last sip.
“Don’t you agree, Aiden?” Taylor asked, smooshing the cup into her palm before tossing it into the plastic bag deemed garbage. "She's from New York, so I've heard." She added answering Aiden's question.

Aiden laughed, saluting her toast, caught without a drink. He smiled at Roxanne, chuckled at Taylor when she came back.
“Of course I’m right! I’d agree with that anyday,” insert patented I’m-awesome-smile, “Don’t make it hard on her, really.”
A shocked gasp escaped his throat. “NEW YORK!?” He’d been once, with his parents when he was twelve. “Who would leave the Big City for… for…. They Keys!?” Maybe it was a little obvious he had dreams about New York. Bright, colorful; hot, kinky; grey, content… lots of dreams. He loved it there.

Taylor laughed, “I know- it would be insane to leave there for this place.”
Roxanne shook her head in disagreement, “Nah- I could never leave this place… I’d have to change who I am and I’m not just ready to grow up to be a business woman just yet.” She said smirking as she took a sour sip of the drink. “Eh- not my best mix, but it’ll sock a punch.” She said setting it onto the porch’s banister.
Jake came running around the corner of the house, looking for Pierce, “Where the fuck is that fucker. He took my damn truck!” He hopped up onto the porch to join Taylor, Aiden, and Roxanne.
“Hey guys.” He said nodding at each in their own turn, “You have to know where Pierce took my truck…” He said in an almost pleading manner. Jake had invested most of his money into that truck, giving it the correct tunes and upgrading the shocks and what not.
Roxanne laughed, “So he took your truck? Damn, Jake-y, I am so sorry. He left like 20 minutes ago with Ericka.” She shrugged.
“He left with Ericka in my truck?? Well hell, he’s moving fast for this one, isn’t he.” Jake suggested as he took Roxanne’s drink. He drained the cup in two gulps before returning the cup to its previous place. “Ah well… I’m going to start the fire- if that’s alright with you.” He said looking at Roxanne who nodded.
“Go ahead, have fun.” She said, handing him the packet of matches that sat in her left pocket. The lightening of the bon-fire meant that there were at least three drunk people in the gathering and basically signaled for everyone to catch up or go home.
“So, Aiden, who’s your latest crush?” Taylor asked him, as she did not know if he was crushing on a chick or a dude tonight.

“You’ll never grow up- you were raised as a beach-bum,” he laughed, before adding, “Granted, a hot one, so you could definitely go through life without having to grow up.” Yes, Aiden was also convinced neither of the girl’s natural beauty- although Taylor’s was less prevalent, it was there, he was convinced- would ever fade.
Aiden smiled when he saw Jake- an old friend, nothing more, as it had been established years ago, and Aiden didn’t want to talk about it. “Damn, the fire’s starting? Roxy, get me something to drink, please? I hate being the only one sober…” Yes, the appointed designated driver to the few sane ones of Duval Street, on many-an-occasion, being a not-so-heavy drinker… despite working in a bar part time. Funny how these things work out.
“Oh, that’s a toughy. I haven’t checked yet. But it seems like guy-in-black wife beater, and girl-with-the-belts are cute,” he grinned.

Roxanne laughed, “Aw thank you Aiden, I hope I don’t have to grow up- I have no clue what I’d be…” she paused a bit before hearing Aiden’s request, “Yes sir. Something strong or what.” She asked going behind the “bar” that they had established. Someone yelled “Finally” as they thought she was serving drinks tonight, but oh no- oh hell no. She was partying like the rest.
Taylor looked at the two prospective candidates for his hook up tonight and both intrigued her. “Hm, well- you can take one and leave the other one for me.” She said laughing. She had begun feeling the drinks that were circulating through her kidneys.
The fire began to grow with every dry palm tree leaf that was chucked into it. It crackled a bit, which was followed by a howl from the drunk guys. Jake was laughing and holding a beer while pushing another dry leaf into the growing flame.

“Strong! Strong! Strong!” Was Aiden’s momentary chant as Roxanne walked to the bar, and he almost doubled over in laughter when someone though she was bartending- Roxanne would die before she worked at her own party.
“Oh, oh- is Taylor rooting for the other side, too!? Or, uh, the middle of the fence!?” Aiden looked positively glowing, wondering if maybe he actually had turned around his friend. That would make for a fun week to annoy the shit out of Taylor.
He glanced over to the fire, and Jake rolling his eyes and muttering, 'their gong to burn down the house', before turning back to the prospects. “Hmm. The guy looks more interesting than the girl, really. Do you know him?”

“Coming right up,” She said laughing as she poured a few different things into one cup. She then took a lighter from underneath the table and walked over to Aiden, “Hey- when I light this on fire wait a few seconds then blow it out and take it all down, ok?” She said gleaming in excitement. She loved making this drink simply because it glowed a bright green when lit.
“No- I’m not going to the other side, possibly sitting on the fence, I’m not sure yet. I’m bored with all the penis in this place.” She said laughing making Roxanne choke on what she was drinking, “what?” Taylor asked simply as she looked at the shocked face plastered on her best friend’s face.

Aiden’s eyes sparkled, he loved it when she made this. It was just so damn pretty, and his camera never caught the blaze correctly- it was a fleeting moment of destruction. Beautiful…
Wow, Aiden’s kind of twisted.
He held out his hand for the drink, laughing at Roxanne. “Isn’t it gorgeous!? I have a clone in the making!”
His eyes veered left again, setting upon, once more, the blazing bonfire, and once more, Jake, and once more, P- wait he wasn’t there bfore why’s he here now he looks mad, oh god he’s gorgeous when he’s wait where’s Ericka- “OH MY GOD SHE’S DEAD, ISN’T SHE!?” he cried out, almost enthusiastically- ha! He was so right that time! “Ohmygodohmygod, Roxanne, Pierce murdered Ericka!!”

“What? Aiden- stop jumping to conclusions…” Roxanne started, but wait- where was Ericka.
She placed Aiden’s drink and the lighter in his hands before hopping off the porch and speed walking towards Pierce and Jake. “Hey- what’s wrong? Why are you so pissed? Where’s Ericka?” She asked Pierce before noticing that Jake had swung his arm around her, very drunkenly, “Chill cousin- I’m sure everything is okey dokey…” He said leaning on her before taking off after one of the random chicks that was at the party.
“I am not your clone, yet.” Taylor told Aiden, “but remember- this is kept between us; at least until further notice. But let’s go see what the latest is.” She said taking Aiden’s arm and walking down the steps.
People were already striping down to their bathing suits, leaving their nice clothes on the porch steps where they usually ended up. Laughing could be heard along with some music in the background from the porch speakers.

“It’s not a conclusion and I’m not jumping it’s perfectly based on FACT!” He was rambling, and wasn’t even drunk. How very Aiden-like.
He frowned down at the drink, before lighting it himself quickly, blowin it out, chugging it- frowning at the bitter taste- before observing the scene.
And then Taylor spoke up again. “Yet! Yet! There’s prospect!” he cheered as he was dragged down, despite the serious situation below.
Bt of course, we are never really given a chance to explain before the villain walks in and ruins everything.
Bobby was on his way down, a very familiar NYer by him. “Hey, Roxanne-“ he called, happily, “I found a stray on the road. Does she belong to you?” he let out another sickening smile, slipping an arm around her waist. Hmm. Familiar. He missed this.
Pierce almost exploded…. Scratch that, he did. “Get your filthy fucking hands off her!” He had probably been the only one to actually remember the night Bobby slipped Roxy a ruffie, besides Bobby and Jake, and Jake obviously wasn’t much help in the state he was in. He yanked Roxanne out of Bobby’s reach, probably harder than he should have.

Ericka was completely shocked at the scene that was going down. So instead of getting in the fight, she just backed up and let it happen. There's no way in hell I could stop either of these guys. I might be muscular, but I'm still too small. It'd take at least three of me to do anything to one of them.

“Fuck Pierce!” Roxanne yelped not from the strength of the pull, but by the pure sudden outburst.
“Bobby- what the hell are you doing here… and yeah; she belongs to me.” She said looking to Ericka as if she just did something that she should’ve have done.
“Oh hell no.” Taylor whispered to Aiden as she saw Ericka next to Bobby, “told you she wasn’t dead. I should’ve bet money on that one…” She whispered to Aiden again before joining the crowd.
Jake was no where to be seen, so he was no help at all. Roxanne was still ‘hurt’ by the break up- seeing that she did hear that he was cheating on her with one of the local whores and had practically been in love with Bobby since the seventh grade. When they broke up, it was hurtful and she ended up partying the night away at some guy’s house. The rest, she did not remember.
Taylor walked over to Ericka, “where have you been? How come you didn’t come back with Pierce?? We were all worried about you, girl.” Of course- the last statement was somewhat of a lie, as Aiden had proven his dislike and wished for her to be murdered or something.

'Hmm-? Oh. Uhm. Well I was with Pierce. But something happened and-and he left. Then I bumped into Bobby and he drove me back here. She kept looking back and forth at the two guys, still in shock.

“Well… that might have not been the best idea, you see- Bobby and Pierce aren’t friends.” She said, pointing slightly at the two guys. “They’ve butted heads since Roxanne and Bobby broke up- I don’t know why Pierce cares so much that they broke up, but ever since that day he’s been pissy at Bobby and Bobby has been the same.” She shook her head, “I don’t get them…” She said taking a sip of someone’s drink that she found.
It was true, Taylor was not the cleanliest person ever- she grew up with no manners or with manners of a guy; not sure which one came first. She did not sit down, however, as she wanted to be ready for anything- not sure what would happen- but if anything happened, she wanted to jump in.
Roxanne took a step from Pierce, making sure he knew she was still there, but not so close as he had practically dragged her to where they were almost touching.
