Pierce parked the truck at the end of Mallory Street, near the pier, smiling as he did so. “We’re here!” he proclaimed happily, hopping out of the truck. “Come on, I want to show you something!”
Pierce was now animatedly walking to the other side of the Tacoma ((ha! How’s that for accurate >3)), helping Ericka get out of the car. “Come on, it’s about to start!”
Ahead, you could see a wide variety of street performers, vendors, and… well, a wide variety of things. Walking through the whole crowd; Pierce was pointing to certain booths- “That’s Aiden’s photography, the guy manning the booth is his- oh, hey, that’s where I got my-“- and stopping to say hi to some people- “Hey, yo, Erin! This’ Ericka- hey, hands off-“- before they ended up in what was like a wall of people, some sitting, some standing, some propped on their father’s shoulders.
“This is it,” he said, content. A brilliant site of orange, red and yellow shades were directly in front of them. “This is the Key’s sunset.”

Hmm. This looks interesting. Ericka looked around as Pierce pretty much dragged her to the scene. After a second, they were rushed with a mass of people. 'Woah.'
Then she saw what he had brought her to see, the sunset. 'This is beautiful.' She smiled and turned to look up at him. 'Thank you for bringing me here.'
Wow. This is-wow. It's so amazing. He's amazing.

Pierce smiled down at her, and he knew what was happening- he knew that smile. Hook, line, annnd… His eyes grew soft, and he started to lean down, just a little, slowly.
And then out popped the last person he ever wanted to see- Bobby. No, not the one from the party, more like the guy who once tried to rape his best friend- and almost got away with it.
A feral growl ripped through his throat, his eyes going cold, and all he could think about was the stupid smile Bobby smiled that night…
He grabbed Ericka’s hand, spinning around and walking. “We’re leaving.”
Pierce wasn’t one hundred percent sure; but last time he checked, watching two guys beat the shit out of each other in real life was actually a turn off. And he would not ruin this.

Ericka reached up, just a bit, so she could do what she'd been wanting to do all night. This is completely perfect. Just per- Her thoughts were interrupted by a presence. She backed up a step when Pierce made a strange sound.
Without time to realize what had just happened, she was being dragged away from the scene. 'Pierce. Wha-what's going on? She looked worried and scared and a million other things, all at once. But the biggest emotion sprawled across her face, disappointment.

Pierce frowned, “Just follow me.” He would not look back; would not look back…
He grip on her wrist was getting increasingly tighter as he walked, still focused in an almost-straight-line for the truck- just a hundred yards, a hundred yards, and oh, isn’t that truck looking shiny today…
“Just come with me, just don’t ask questions…” he mumbled, half asking.
[[gooood its short =.=]]

'Yeah. Like I have a choice.' She was slowly losing feeling in her hand. 'Dammit Pierce. Can you let go?'
He seemed to be gaining speed the closer they got to the truck. And her flip flops weren't working that well to keep up. At this rate, I'm going to fall on my face and he's going to drag me.

Pierce growled once more, forcing himself to loosen his grip. He finally, finally reached the car, grabbing open his door and slamming it, starting the ignition, and clenching both fists around the wheel. Distraction. That’s all he needed, a distraction. Fucking prick would not ruin his night.

No way in hell was Ericka getting in the car then. She walked back to where she and Pierce had previously been and sat down on the ground. What the hell is going on? was the only thing going through her mind. 'Aww fuck. I don't have a clue how to get back to Roxanne's.'

... Crap. Where'd my distraction go?

His time had come... again, it seems.
A "hey" came in a deep voice, the black-haired, hot-as-fuck Bobby sat next to Erica. "Are you Pierce's friend?" A delicious smile sat on his striking features, although his eyes showed seperate intentions.
[.. hehe. short. and oh, look. another clichingly gorgeous male.]

That presence again. This time, she decided to look towards it. And when she did, the breath was knocked out of her a bit. Wow.
'Hey. Yeah...if you can call me that. I don't know what's going on with him right now.' A quick pause. 'But anyways. I'm Ericka.'/b] She smiled slightly- or at least she tried to.
[You and your smiles. xD]

Bobby laughed, keeping his gaze trained on Ericka. “Yea- that’s probably my fault. We used to be the best of friends, before… well… complications arose.” Oh, yes, this will be fun. “He… kind of lost it one night… He tried to rape my girlfriend, Roxanne. Do you know her?” Anything to make him miserable.
[yes, they seem to pop up a lot, huh, the dazzling ones |D]

Ericka's smile dropped and a look of concern approached her face. That can't be true. There must be some mistake.
'Are you sure we're talking about the same Pierce and Roxanne? Because we were just at her house and there didn't seem to be any troubles between the two of them.' She would do anything to believe that there wasn't anything wrong with Pierce. She had looked into his eyes and seen something there.
She noticed that while going through these thoughts, her head had begun to shake. 'I-I need to get back to Roxanne's.' But how?

“She doesn’t remember it, to be honest… I think she tries to block it out.” He looked.. happy, when he saw her hesitance. “Oh, I can drive you there- she lives right across the street from me.” ---- Pierce, was, by this time, back on the beach, sitting somewhere behind Jake, now. 'Uhm...I-I guess. I mean, I have no other way to get there.' She didn't completely trust this guy, but either she went with him or stayed here-in the middle of a strange city, with no one to help her.
[haha. niice.]

"Oh, thats perfect." Smile. Smile. Just keep smiling your smile, don't laugh Bobby, if you laugh the charade is over. "Come on, my car's over this way."
His eyes were squinting from the force of his superly uber large smile when he turned to walk toward the truck.
[will continue in my next post at our little gathering]
