She lives in a two bedroom apartment, which looks like any other Key West beachfront shack. There is a kitchen with black marble counter tops, an island in the middle with pots hanging from the tray above, and a gas stove- because electricity was expensive. A living room with a keyboard, two couches, a 65" flat screen TV, dvd player, a rack of dvds, a PS2, an XBox360, and a small spiral staircase leading to the upstairs where there are two rooms, hers and the guest's. The house looks cozy, a rather “breezy beach bungalow” feeling can describe her house.
Three of the four walls are painted a soft red, paper framed drawings scatter around in no particular pattern. A large black shelf leans against one of those three walls, taking up ¾ of the height, filled with old records and new CDs. Pictures lean undusted, the happy faces staring back at you- haunting you with memories. The other wall, the one not sunset red, is of her own creation. Part of the sunset red spills onto the fourth wall, blending in with yellows and oranges to create a sunset on the horizon of the surf, above and somewhat to the right is the full moon shining in its dark blue majestic sky. These colors blend together to form a sort of unorthodox wonder and make one gasp in amazement. The words ‘When you dream there’s a chance you’ll find a little laughter or happy ever after…’ dance over the top of the wall in a rather fancy manuscript.
It's a nice, secured feeling, sort of what you get when you enter an art show. You are dazzeled, then comforted. That's the way she liked it. Her computer sits on a desk, across from her queen size bed and dresser. The 50" plasma tv hangs on the wall, above the computer desk- and the room smells of a sweet perfume from Victoria's Secret.
There is a door from the bedroom leading to her bathroom, which holds a nice Jacuzzi like tub, a round sink, and a glass long table like thing that holds all of her things.
The same goes for the guest's bedroom. It is decorated in seashells and comforting blues that match the white bedspread that sits on the queen size bed. The dresser which holds a 45" plasma tv sits opposing the bed, the window curtains flowing freely in the breeze. The bathroom is the same way- connecting by a single door, jacuzzi like tub to relax in. There is some bathe soap along with a few scented bath pearls to dress it up a bit, but keep it simple.
